"Logical and precise, left-brain thinking gave us the Information Age. Now comes the Conceptual Age - ruled by artistry, empathy, and emotion."
- Dan Pink, author of "A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future"
Are you a more left- or right-brained thinker?
Self assessment test by Synergistic Learning Incorporated.
Download the file and run it to take the test (20 questions).
In the October '06 newsletter of EURIB (European Institute of Brand Management) another, even more, simple test could be read.
Fold your hands into eachother as if you are praying. Now look. Which of your thumbs is laying on the other one? If your left thumb is laying on your right thumb, your right-brain hemisphere is dominant and a creative job might suit you very well.
Mike Janssen showed me another trick to determine which side of the brain is dominant. Fixate on a certain object in your environment, for instance a couple of meters in front of you. Put your index finger on your thumb and make a circle. Now look at the object through the circle with both eyes open. Then close your right eye. If you can still see the object through the circle your right hemisphere is the dominant part.
