Two years ago I read at the Dutch website DaanSpeak about several cultures in several times calculating the year 2012 as the start of a new era. The Maya's for example expect humanity to reach a higher level of consciousness. My interest in this prophecy is being catalyzed by (scientific) perceptions of a current worldwide shift in what people find important in their lives. Plenty of researches and books show that our needs (especially in Western cultures) are becoming more and more immaterial and psychological of nature. We are increasingly searching for ourselves and the meaning of life. We seek ‘psychological self-determination’ and ‘self-realisation’.
Hans Mestrum explained me about Ervin Laszlo and 'The Club of Budapest'. The club's mission is to be a catalyst for the transformation to a sustainable world through promoting the emergence of planetary consciousness (and more..).

I told the father of a friend of mine about it and this lead to discussing 'the year zero' (2012). Sitting behind his computer we meanwhile watched some video's online. We came across an extensive documentary called 'The Mayan Calendar Comes North'. Ian Xel Lungold talks about Dr. Carl Johan Calleman's breaktrough discoveries of Mayan Time Science in front of a Canadian audience. While the documentary was running in the background it suddenly got my attention when I heard Ian Xel Lungold say the words 'co-creating our experiences'. "Huh!? Is he really talking about the same stuff the scientific world and corporate business are currently diving into?" Take for example, professor Venkat Ramaswamy, who describes 'experience co-creation' in his book the 'Future of Competition : Co-Creating Unique Values with Customers'.
WOW. Eureka-moment. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together. Forwarding the Google Video links to some people resulted in multiple 'wow' reactions. Mike Janssen speaks about a 'Conscious Co-Creating Breakthrough!'. Raimo van der Klein reacts on Mike's post with "fascinating!!!".
Here you can see the BIG idea for yourself.

Now back to this blog's topic, bringing 'conscious evolution' and economy together. Pine II and Gilmore explain in 'The Experience Economy' (1999) that..
..if you charge for the feeling customers have because of engaging you, you are in the experience business.
..if you charge for the benefit customers (or "guests") receive as a result of spending time with you, you are in the transformation business.
Do YOU think we can see a Transformation Economy coming into view?
(By the way, thanks to both Hans Mestrum and Mike Janssen for stimulating me to start this blog.)
I just read Future of Competition.. Felt the same connection. I see the changes as a transformation(evolution) into the era that people are the centerpiece of our world(instead of industry). Emotions and thought are the fuel instead of money. People are reclaiming their lost property of time, space, resources and media..
More later..

Wow what a great video of the Mayan Calendar!!
I see the wisdom of crowds, power of the mass, user in control as examples of what is going on. Also 'communicatieve zelfsturing' coming instead of 'sociale regelgeving' is exactlye what Ian Xel is talking about.
Conscious co-creation....what a BIG idea.
